Who/What is Underground Grrrl ?
Underground Grrrl is Czon’s signature street-art heroine and an visual icon — a comic-street art character that pops up as pasted7sprayed artworks and visuals in urban spaces. She appears in gritty cityscapes with a look that mixes punk attitude, mythic charm and guerrilla art swagger. Your perfect anti heroine!

She’s described as a strong, independent comic-style “super heroine” — part of Czon’s guerrilla art mission to “fight stupidity around the world”, often posing with attitude and rebellion and point her birdie finger against dumb things.

The character seems to blend influences from punk/riot-grrrl culture, rebellious street art and mythic female imagery.
Underground Grrrl is a bold, fierce street-art rebel — equal parts comic icon and urban goddess.

She’s often shown defiant, expressive, and unafraid to challenge the ordinary — a modern urban spirit riding the walls, putting a fierce feminine voice into the streets that celebrates independence.

Czon has used Underground Grrrl in street art pieces around Europe since at least 2012 when she first met the world at the Börgende watchtower in former East— sometimes even in gallery showings, sometimes as pastings/sprayings in cool street art neighborhoods like Berlin’s Teufelsberg or Malaga’s Soho district.
She has now been seen in 16 countries in Europe.

Czon is a Swedish artist/street artist and photographer who has been exhibited at many museums and juried exhibitions, well known in media for arty heists.
His streetart work mixes guerrilla art, mythology, folklore and comic-like figures.
He works mostly anonymously and leads the art collective Underground will take over.
